BEGINNER2. LESSON #10. WHAT DO I KNOW ?
Lesson 10 of Begginer 2 ! Congratulations !!!
What do we know at this point ?
In these lessons, we work a lot with numbers :
- you can count easily to 60
- you know how to form ordinal numbers
- you can really tell time by now
- and we even spoke about counting floors in buildings.
We also spent time with a new tense : le passé composé which is used to express past events and is quite easy to form :
We learnt that :
- Past participles of the –er group always end with –é : aimé, mangé, visité, promené… - Some of the third group end with –u : vu, entendu, su.
- We also saw one that ends with –is : compris.
What about discovering now some useful past participles ?
Auxiliary avoir is used with most of the verbs but être is used with pronominal verbs and with verbs that indicate a moving or a transformation.
