- On ne s’est toujours pas décidés pour les vacances.- Oui, il faut qu’on en parle.
- Est-ce qu’on va à la mer ? Est-ce qu’on va à l’étranger ? Est-ce qu’on reste en France ?
- Moi, je n’ai pas pris de vacances depuis Noël, je peux poser trois semaines de congé et même quatre en rattrapant des heures supplémentaires.
- Alors on pourrait partir deux fois quinze jours. Une fois avec les enfants.
- On ira à la mer, alors.
- Et une fois sans les enfants.
TRANSLATION
- We still haven’t chosen where you were going on holiday.
- You’re right, we have to talk about it.
- Do we go to the seaside ? Do we go abroad ? Do we stay in France ?
- I did not take holiday since Chrismas, I can take three weeks off, even four weeks if I make up for my work overtime.

Quinze jours is a really used expression. It means two weeks. In British English, it may be translated as a fortnight. |
