Après le dîner :
- (Suzanne) Papa, je ne veux pas partir.
- (Jean) Pourquoi ?
- (Suzanne) Je veux jouer avec Victor.

- (Jean) Nous ne voulons pas déranger.
- (Marie) Tu veux t’asseoir un peu ?
- (Jean) Avec plaisir.
- (Marie) Parle-moi de toi.
TRANSLATION
 After diner :
- (Suzanne) Daddy, I don’t want to leave.
- (Jean) Why ?
- (Suzanne) I want to play with Victor.
- (Jean) Ok.
- (Suzanne) Yeh !

- (Jean) We don’t want to disturb.
- (Marie) Do you want to sit down a little ?
- (Jean) With pleasure.
- (Marie) Tell me about you.
Partir : to leave.
Pourquoi : why.
Avec : with.
Vouloir : to want.
Plaisir : pleasure.
Parler : to talk.
In this lessons there are three forms of the verb vouloir (to want) : je veux, tu veux, nous voulons.
Vouloir is a very common and useful verb.
You can notice it’s not an –er verb.

In French, we classify verbs in three groupes. In the first one (le premier groupe), we find every –er verb. They all have the same conjugation. (Aller is an exception, we’ll see it later).
In the second one (le deuxième groupe), we find part of –ir verbs. These –ir verbs have the same conjugation.
In the third one (le troisième groupe) which is quite big, we find every other verb. They conjugate differently and there are lots of irregular verbs (the radical changes depending on the pronoun)

Vouloir is one verb of the troisième groupe. It’s an irregular one.
