French future perfect is the futur antérieur. It’s easy to conjugate : you put the auxiliary verb être or avoir (depending on the verb) at the future tense then you add the past participle of the main verb.
We use the futur antérieur to express a future event which will have taken place before another one expressed at the future tense.
Je viendrai quand tu auras fini.
Je viendrai (= future tense) quand tu auras fini (= futur antérieur because this action will have occured before the other one.) Il aura ses résultats dès qu'il aura fini ses examens. Je lui pardonnerai quand il aura réparé sa bêtise. |
